A new Ascendancy

A new Ascendant is the event triggered by Tyranny. The Capital Value marker is reduced by 3, and the Ascendant card is revealed and placed on the game board. In addition, all players discard one victory condition.

You can also trigger tyranny to lower the capital value and thus gain more access to resources.
Don’t forget that every player must discard a victory condition. This means that tyranny victory can also occur directly through the event.
