Operations
Operations are powerful action cards. These can be played at any time. The only exception is assassinations. Some operations have a phase recommendation on the card. These cards can still be played at any time, but are resolved more slowly than cards whose effect includes at any time. These can be played as counters and thus counter both cards and actions. The cards are resolved from the last operation played to the first. All crisis values are activated.
General Tips
Here are a few tips that may be helpful:
- Operations are the expensive cards, as they cost 3 resources per card. However, they are also powerful, as the right operation can help you win or block someone else’s victory.
- Operations can also be used effectively as a basis for blackmail. Thus, threatening to play a card is sometimes more effective than actually playing it.
- Also pay attention to the crisis values of the cards, as they directly influence the crises and thus have a significant impact on the game.
- Also pay attention to the hand card limit of 10. It is therefore sometimes worth playing cards just to make room in your hand.
- When the operation deck is empty, all discarded operations, except for Pact with the Order, are shuffled to form a new deck. If there are no more discarded operations, none can be purchased.
