Hostile Takeover

The hostile takeover allows you to force a change in economic power, for example by stealing capital.

How to play: Play this card at any time to take either 50% of another player’s capital or a share of their foundation. Alternatively, you can also collect all earnings when special dividends become active.

Tips and Tricks

Here are a few tips that may be helpful:

Use this card to steal foundation shares or a large amount of capital. Win at the last minute of a phase by becoming the majority shareholder.
You can also thwart a monopoly victory through hostile takeover.
It is also possible to prevent a player from purchasing a resource through a hostile takeover, thereby thwarting their plans.
