Off-Shore Kontor

The Offshore Trading Post is the Tycanian Bank, which allows you to take out a loan in Phase I. However, you will have to pay back this loan at a high cost.

How to play: If you control the Offshore Trading Post at the end of Phase I, take a debt token! You may also take either 10 resources of your choice or 50 capital. In Phase II of the next cycle, you must pay either 15 resources of your choice or 75 capital to the bank, allowing you to discard the debt token. If you cannot or do not wish to do so, discard 2 victory condition cards.

Tips and Tricks

Here are a few tips that may be helpful:

The offshore office can provide you with a significant amount of resources that you only have to repay later. Utilise these resources to complete the game before you have to pay off the debt.
You can also destroy the Offshore Trading Post field card with a Syncanes bombardment, which means you no longer have to pay your debts.
The credit on this card is perfect for completing the triage in Phase II and winning the game.
You should also watch out for opponents who really want this field. There is usually a strategy behind this that you should know how to prevent.
